Foley’s Newbawn, a cherished 19th-century village pub in County Wexford, reopened its doors following extensive renovation work carried out by Frayne Construction. The project blended heritage and craftsmanship, beginning with the sourcing and fitting of a reclaimed bar and flooring to preserve the authentic character of the pub. Back fittings, including shelving and cabinetry, were constructed on site in keeping with the original style, ensuring both practicality and design continuity. The exterior was also given new life with a custom-designed shopfront, crafted and installed on site, which enhances the pub’s charm and visibility while respecting its architectural heritage. The result is a space that feels both freshly revived and richly rooted in its past—a seamless combination of restoration and renewal.
